Over the past couple of weeks, Donald Trump has become the presumptive Republican nominee and Hillary Clinton continues to inch closer to the magic number of delegates she needs to lock up the Democratic contest. Clinton continues to lead Bernie Sanders in our national tracking poll (she is up by 14 points in this week’s results).
Attention is now rapidly moving to the hypothetical match-up between the leading candidates with an emphasis on a Clinton and Trump contest. In this week’s poll, Americans are nearly split between their choice of Trump or Clinton; her margin over Trump narrows from 5 points last week to 3 points this week to 48 percent to 45 percent.
This early data indicates a very close race right now – though that may change considerably before November. Understanding why the race is close requires a deeper look into how various demographic groups break for either candidate.
The demographic-based analyses below are from the latest data from the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll conducted online from May 9 through May 15 among 14,100 adults including 12,507 who say they are registered to vote.
Clinton, who was able to maintain her front-runner status throughout the Democratic primary by winning over black and Hispanic voters, continues to do extremely well among these voters over Trump. She wins black voters 84 percent to 9 percent – a 75 point gap—and wins Hispanics 65 percent to 28 percent. Trump is the preferred candidate among white voters by 14 points over Clinton—53 percent to 39 percent. This is up slightly from last week’s 11-point margin among white voters.
There is also a significant gender gap with Clinton beating Trump by 15 points among women, while Trump carries men by a similar 11-percent margin.

“Hillary Clinton” and “slim” do not belong in the same sentence.
This is going to be a brutal election season that will make the primaries seem tame. I think we’re in the calm before the storm right now.
Dead people and fake Acorn Names overwhelmingly vote democrat. One of the reasons they don’t want voter ID is so any tom dick or harry can vote under an Acorn fake name
Her lead is shrinking and will soon disappear.
She will then get desperate and will begin to fall apart.

At least. This a Registered Voter Poll. A Likely Voter Poll would, IMHO, be more favorable to Trump.
Also, this is an online poll which, also IMHO, favors the Dems because it tends to reduce the number of Senior (Seasoned) Citizens participating.

In any poll the sample population is the key. I understand they usually assume more democrats than republicans. So it seems any poll where the repub is even witht the dem, means there’s going to be a repub win
The real question is where the candidates stand in the
6-8 states that will decide the electoral college vote.

The one thing that Trump Team need to do is get out the Clinton Crime Family, how Hillary was a Black Panther Lawyer and one of them; how she worked the Rose Law Firm; all this stuff needs to come out for our younger people...we know it, we lived it, but they didn’t and need to know that what they are spreading is re-cycled trash from the 1980’s and it isn’t going to work now...
I am writing things for future use, but we need like Gateway; Drudge, Tree House (which Sundance is pretty sharp on this stuff) and posted here for a lot of other people to read and pick up...
I still predict, as I have from day one....that Hillary Clinton will withdraw from the POTUS race, for any one of a number of reasons. The one she will choose, or Obama will order her to use,...will be ill health!!! Look for the Obama, enforced ticket of Joe Biden for POTUS & Elizabeth Warren for VP!!!
Of course, if Ms. Clinton loses either of, or both of the primary races today being held in Kentucky & Oregon...her departure will be hastened!!! The Democrat criminal, “super delegate” hold to her will be shattered.
I cant wait until the primaries are over with.Both parties finished, nominees announced, conventions done and running mates in place. Then we can finally begin the real campaign.
