I was kind of taken aback by Justin Amash - I don’t know anything about him other than a while back he posted an awful lot about his votes and the reasoning behind them. And he “seemed” pretty conservative. But again, I don’t know that much about him.

What about federal prisons? If anyone in the men’s prison decides they’re a woman? Shouldn’t the Obama administration have to comply? And what if a male just felt like he was a female for a day?
If a person can decide if they’re a male or a female on the spur of the moment, shouldn’t they be able to decide if they’re male or female in prison?
It’s the federal government under Obama that is trying to force unreasonable demands on states. Shouldn’t the federal government have to immediately comply with their own demands? It would be cruel and unusual punishment for a man (or a “they” as they prefer) that thinks he’s a woman to have to serve in a man’s prison.

My U.S. Representative, Dave Reichert, voted for the The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TTP) trade deal and not this. It is time he heard from me. He has been too busy raising cash for his reelection—and his pockets—to read up on the scientific facts about the mental illness they call transgender identity. More accurately, it is called Gender dysphoria or autogynephilia, which is a mental disorder that puts males at odds with their genetic programming.
Dave Reichert, and all those ignorant Republicans, are enablers for a mental disease that is just as severe as schizophrenia. In fact patients with schizophrenia have been associated with autogynephilia and, as their schizophrenia was treated, so also did their autogynephilia disappear.
This same ignorance performed frontal lobotomies on patients for the treatment of schizophrenia, manic depression and bipolar disorder, among other mental illnesses. In the case of autogynephilia, there is no treatment, leaving a human being pre-programed by their male genetics to be straight-jacketed by their sexual fantasies. It is the same straight-jacketedness (my term) that drug addiction ruins lives and those around them.
