Judge was explaining the legal responsibility of Disney. Family will become VERY wealthy with insurance settlement. That conversation was before the announcement
I didn’t see the explanation but yes, I am guessing Disney will settle for a large amount and very quickly. The no swimming sign is not enough warning. Disney sponsored an event on a beach, after dark next to a body of water known to be the habitat of alligators. It’s pretty irrelevant weather the boy was in the water or at the edge of the water. He was accessible pray for the alligator either way. Furthermore a British family reported being chased by a large alligator 2 weeks earlier on a nearby beach and they were not in the water. In addition it is said that they notified Disney after their close call. The last thing Disney wants is for this to stay in the press. It will be settled very quickly and things will significantly change along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon.
How do you know this family is going to sue Disney? I wouldn’t, would you?
Not everybody is money grubbing, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, until proven otherwise.

The last thing you expect when you take your kids to Disney World is man-eating monsters at the exhibit. It’s like Jurassic Park.
The judge was baiting his ambulance chasing cronies. The hazard is obvious. Gators rule Florida and you are always supposed to assume any body of water has a gator.
This is a tragedy but it was not Disney’s fault. Will the whol state of Florida now have to have highly visible signs surrounding all bodies of water warning that there may be an alligator I the water. Will the signs need to lighted as well and in all languages?
