experts say it will be focused inward for the foreseeable future.

As it should. Specifically, deporting Muslims who don't yet have citizenship and revoking the citizenship of those who have terrorist ties.

And enact serious welfare reform.

Same as we should do on this side of the pond.

Wrong.

Ian Kearns, director of the London-based European Leadership Network, is going to be focussed on finding a new job.

For Britain (however) it’s all business as usual.

The UK has about half the land area of California, but about 1.5 times the population.

The UK economy is slightly larger than California.

Forget not that they “stays” are unwilling to concede any anything. They didn’t get the result they wanted so of course it’s their right to stage a do-over.

Of course the “we won, you lost” argument doesn’t work on them because atop their shiny and morally superior pedestals of arrogated arrogance, we are the stupid unwashed and are incapable of plotting our own destinies, much less the operation of our nation. No, what is needed is the appointment of an unaccountable class of elites not elected by the aforementioned unwashed; dedicated to sucking as much grift out of the system as they can while the people of formerly diverse and formerly independent nations struggle to live up to the utopian ideals of the well-educated. This while they pay locally for the social costs of the imposition of unlimited immigration and while they pay for the remote imposition of endless classic Soviet-style restrictions of price controls and quotas and the like.

There is no directorship or person of current “stature” (other than Farage, Dellingpole, and perhaps a dozen others whose names escape me but ALL of whom are in “Brexit the Movie” ....not unlike our own Congress) that you will ever, ever hear from in support the “exit” vote because exactly like the global warming/climate change debate, ALL of the money and ALL of the “peer-reviewed” blather is on the other side. It is no more complicated than that.

As far as Britain’s place in the world is concerned, withdrawal from the EU will not immediately bring the whole edifice tumbling down, but it will weaken it, perhaps seriously and permanently.

Are they still officially known as Great Britain? I thought they dropped that right during the 80s.

” beat back the Nazi tide and ...”

I remember that day. The day when ENGLAND dropped the bombs.

My books must be wrong. Apparently the Enola Gay was RAF. I got the tail markings wrong.

Scottland and Ireland are not so aggressive towards England as in the past. I don’t see that the future is so dire for England for the UK does break up.

This is such sore cruzerman material. Waahhh!

The UK looking inward post-Brexit?

Yeah, wrong.

They are now free to pursue trade deals on their own terms, just like prosperous free Switzerland.

Down with the EU!

Down with the globalists!

Piss on the merkel of life!

For centuries, this modest little island in the North Sea has punched well above its weight on the international stage

Because of its intellectual and economic superiority. This came from its CULTURE. Once it began importing the inferior, more savage, less freedom-minded cultures of the Islamic world, Britain weakened. The E.U. did not make England stronger. It's insane immigration policies made her much weaker.

I love all of the chicken little talk. The EU will shatter into a million pieces when nations, with their own unique identities, get tired of paying for all of the parasites and simply leave overnight.

Little England stood alone in 1940 and 1941 and that worked out fairly well for Western Europe.

Everyone assumes the EU can just carry on as is. No. The EU is already a proto-fascist construct and will have to get nasty if it wants to keep its obvious contradictions contained. It’s massive debt, it’s choke-hold on the PIIGS, its social engineering schemes are all headed for a crack-up. 52% of Brits were simply wise enough to see it early

A breath of fresh air for the world. The EU was a facade for just the ruin that has been occurring to these countries. The people of these countries would be irresponsible not to insist that every one of those countries exits in an orderly fashion now that the reality of the what the EU was all about are now apparent to a majority of the people in the EU countries. It’s either continue political correctness and lost your country entirely or take back your country.
