In 1973, Mark Essex used a RUGER five shot tube fed semi auto to kill 5 policemen and 4 others.
In 1966, Charles Whitman murdered 16 people and injured 33 others Most of the killings was done with a bolt action rifle, and an M-1 carbine for backup. He stabbed his wife and his mother to death first.
It is not the type of rifle that matters, it is the determination of the shooter.
