Okay, not really. Protests are over the two police-shoot-civilian incidents that have been prominent in the news. One in Louisiana, one in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis shooting has some fairly incendiary live phone/Youtube coverage, which has occupied an inordinate amount of press time.
what a coincidence that this should happen the very week that congress begins their new stronger than ever push for more gun control (aka people control).
