EXCLUSIVE: 'Dump Trump' RNC Delegate Leader: We 'Have The 28 Votes' To Unbind Delegates
The Daily Wire ^ | July 10 2016 | Daily Wire

Posted on 07/10/2016 2:32:42 PM PDT by Mechanicos

Over the weekend, The Daily Wire had the opportunity to speak with Kendal Unruh, a member of the Colorado Republican delegation to the Republican National Convention. Unruh is also a member of the Rules Committee at the RNC, and a leading advocate for a vote that would unbind the delegates from the candidates to which their state primaries are pledged.

Unruh explained that "28 committee members are required to pass a minority report, which then goes to the convention floor for all delegates to vote on. It then requires a simple majority to pass." She added that she does "have the 28 votes required for the minority report," continuing, "Not everyone who is with us is willing to be public yet, due in part to the threats being made by Trump's campaign and the RNC itself."

There are state laws in play binding the delegates for the first vote.

Good to know! Problem is some consider laws optional...:(

>>The Republican Party is a private organization that can make any stupid rules they want.

True. Isn’t it ridiculous? Imagine... the Liberty of all Americans rests in the hands of two private parties who make up their own private rules to suit their own private interests.

What to do, what to do........

Why are they doing this? He won, fair and square, according to their rules.

Tired of living in a country where people who break the rules are given special treatment - and people who play by the rules get the shaft. This is just sick.

The rules include provisions for amending the rules. Trump played by the rules, and the anti-Trump forces are playing by the rules.

Yes, she's a school teacher. Here's her bio at the Jim Elliot Christian School in Englewood, Colorado. But something is strange in the bio:

A few things kind of poke out at you and scream "LEFTIST!", namely:

I guess all that high altitude mountain climbing deprived her brain of oxygen...

Violating the spirit of an institution for short term gain destroys institutions. It’s a short term power grab that’s very leftwing in nature.

I’ve had it with these anti-American frauds. I want Trump to be president already. Trump should easily be 10 points ahead and in any poll right now. Indict Hillary for lying to Congress!

Well now, it sounds like the Elites have those rules sewed up for themselves very well.

It shall be quite fascinating to watch The Elites vs. The Donald (and We the People).

The party both will die and should die if this happens.

Because rules are for the little people like you and me (well, me at least lol). They. Will. Get. Their. Way. Is their attitude. Nothing else matters to them because they have billions and billions of dollars at stake in the outcome.

I interpreted this as the Rules committee has a certain threshold of delegates which must be attained before rules can be changed and they have met or passed that threshold, according to the title at least.

They know. They don’t care. These are the people who, during the primaries, said they’d rather have Hillary than Trump.
