Air rifles and pistols have rifled barrels. They are the most accurate shooting devices in existence. The X ring on a 10m rifle target is about the size of a period on a printed page. Most matches are fired one shot per target because experts group their shots so closely. Nowadays air rifles are being made powerful enough for hunting. Lewis and Clark took and early air rife along on their expedition; it was capable of killing big game.
Look closely at her eye shade: under the blue part she has added paper extensions to keep side glare out. They have been made from 10m targets cut to shape, and over her right eye you can see the size of the 10m black. That’s not the bullseye, just the black which means the 8,9,10, and X-rings.
