Some staunch conservatives may not like the idea, but it is a winning issue for Trump with females.

Please outline the logic (or “logic”) that leads to such a conclusion?

This is where social conservatives should BE.

It looks like Donald is rediscovering what God hath wrought. The Man Upstairs is grinning.

The republicans in congress seem to disagree with you.

But anyways, I feel about the same. The only palatable thing is if Trump reduces other government programs way more than this one will increase it so the net effect is less government.

Encouraging families to BE families, even if there is some tax hocus pocus, is going to be a gain over the so called Great Society which encouraged people to optimize their lives for receipt of welfare.

Take care of welfare drain situations and you take care of welfare drains. Without having to look like Attila the Hun, either.

How is it stolen from you? It is a write off on taxes. The people paying for childcare (while they go to work) are just given the cost as a deduction. HINT: It's not your money.

Looks like he wants to lower their taxes not raise yours.

I hope Trump is running ads. I have never seen a Trump ad on tv, just the ones from the PAC. Haven’t seen a Hillary ad either. I am behind enemy lines in liberal Long Island, NY, so maybe that’s the reason. Swing state freepers, do you see Trump ads on tv?

You are NOT paying for anything if it is a deduction for their income tax filing.

Fear not. Trump and his campaign team have already said he supports the so-called “penny plan” to cut out one penny of every dollar the federal government spends on non-defense matters. That will save trillions, allowing for his tax cuts, child care tax breaks, and infrastructure improvements, and we’ll also have a smaller, more efficient, less corrupt and wasteful bureaucracy. Win-win.

Democrats will be upset if anyone uses this. After all, according to them it is unethical for people to hunt down every deduction

A tax deduction for someone else does not steal your money
