Billionaire U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Thursday he does not want the $400,000 annual salary that comes with the White House job and would turn it down if elected.
Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination in the 2016 race despite having no political experience, was asked at a town hall-style meeting in Rochester, New Hampshire, if, as president, he would roll back generous pension and healthcare benefits given to members of Congress.

Close some departments (Commerce,EPA, Education), then fire 1 of 3 federal employees, then get down to the serious cutting.

Nope. Air Force One has special security military goodies not found on any other aircraft.
He should issue an executive order. No federal employee should make more than the president. So if he’s not taking any salary, then everyone is essentially making nothing :p
I USED TO think that, and they acted and gave the appearance of being genuine. But in the last few years something has changed. The tip-off for me was when they stopped sending me receipts for my donations. I inquired and they still stiffed me. So I dropped them.

My wife read, Michelle’s mother will have a $160,000 per year pension for life, because she watched her grandkids the past 8 years. Exactly what my wife has done for 4 grandkids so far. Although youngest is 5 months and oldest turning 8 in December... You don’t take money for raising family! Hell we don’t even ask for or get gas money for taking them to school.
She is “out there” on so many issues...

A good thought but impractical for many reasons.
He almost certainly will be using the magnificent ballroom at the Trump hotel down the street from the White House for official US functions...all at no cost to the taxpayer.
