Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has indicated in recent days that he thinks Minnesota is his to win, will make his first public visit to the state Sunday.

“We’re going to Minnesota,” Trump said at a rally in Florida, according to reporters who were there. Trump’s Minnesota campaign confirmed the visit.

Minnesota Republican Party Chairman Keith Downey said the rally will be at 2 p.m. at the Sun Country hangar at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, according to initial information from the Trump campaign.

AA turnout is well down from 2012. She will not take GA without massive AA turnout. Even NeverTrumper Fat Erick Erickson doesn’t buy the polls that show GA is close and believes Trump will carry GA easily.

Think about this - if GA was tied, you would be seeing the Hildebeast and Trump campaigning in GA this weekend.

I suspect his internals show MI is locked up, or else no point going to MN.

--I’d say he would be better off aiming for Pennsylvania or Michigan, but heck what to I know, maybe his internal polling is showing even Minnesota is in play....

Trump has shown his instincts are solid, and he's no doubt also considering input from his campaign team.

Let Trump be Trump.

Minnesota was a homeboy vote. If Mondale had been from elsewhere he might have taken it possibly.

There’s no reason to go for states that are longshots that he doesn’t need.

He's running out of places to visit.

I think he has the research to know where to go.

The question naturally arises: why isn’t Hillary campaigning in GA?

Who cares how big the landslide might be? What really matters is how well they govern? Do they curtail and reverse in the amount of spending and control that the government has over the lives of Americans? Do they sell us out to special interests? Do they increase or decrease the national debt? The list goes on and on. And most importantly of all, do they themselves and enforce upon all in the executive branch of the federal government the need to faithfully abide by their oaths of office regarding the Constitution?

Trump has Tony Fabrizio, and he is one of the better pollsters in the business, so I suspect there must be something to this.

Probably good risk reward. If the plane is near Wisconsin and Michigan, a stop in Minnesota is no great problem. Cost them 90 mins maybe.

Georgia ain’t in play. There is not a single poll showing Clinton winning in GA. RCP is going to have a LOT of questions to answer after this election about why the refused to show safe Trump states accurately.

It's a Ventura play. He'll also get free coverage in WI & IA markets.

Bubba only pulled 43.48% there in '92. Bush would have only needed half of Perot's support to win.
