Good evening, radu...did it get really cold yet?

It’s 5 here. Only minor fog this morning, but the roads were slippery. The guy on the “going home” report said no matter where you are going in the city, be prepared for slick roads.

It has been a little cold but hasn’t stopped me and Bo from enjoying the lake. He did find another gopher earlier this week.

Mornin’ Kathy.

How frustrating last night. Got my greeting posted and BOOM. Comcast blew up. No tv, no internet. GRRRRRR!
At least it’s back now.

Yes, the “polar vortex” swooped down on us overnight and it’s c-c-c-cold outside. 27 degrees and windy at 10:30 a.m. and that makes it hard to want to walk out the door. Republican women’s group meeting/Christmas party today.

And we’ll be close to 70 degrees Saturday!
With a low that night of around 28!!

I want off this roller coaster ride! LOL

Hope you made it to work safe and sound. If the rest of the streets are like 4th Ave., it’s slick out there.
Strange seeing it dark at 7:30 in the morning.

“Now...off for more rest so this headache goes away!”

A candy bar or lacking that, a teaspoonful of sugar will make the headache go away in less than 10 minutes. No lie! ;-)

Source: Hegseth top contender for VA post

A senior Trump transition source tells Fox News that Pete Hegseth is currently considered the top contender for the secretary of Veterans Affairs position.

Hegseth visited Trump Tower on Thursday. Hegseth is a Fox News contributor and veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Fox News is told the search continues, however, and Hegseth was not offered the job at the meeting Thursday.

Other candidates are said to still be in the running.

The VA post is one of the last remaining Trump Cabinet positions for which the president-elect has not named a nominee.

Oh how I wish it had. The only thing that seems to work is 3 ibuprofen at once or a lortab. It feels like an ice pick is stabbing me in the lower part of my scull. I was afraid I was getting shingles on my head. My hubby had them there and that's how he described it.

I'm pretty sure this, too, shall pass. 😁
