Have you even considered my questions? Do you have the answers? Shouldn’t they at least have an idea whether they it will save or cost money?

When bills are passed (left or right) if you look behind the scenes the motivation is usually a combination of well meaning do-gooders and someone who is going to make money off of it. It’s a good idea to ask questions.

If drug testing stops ONE person form using drugs then the cost is worth it! I have to show id to get sudafed. I have to get drug tested at my job. Drug testing people on the dole makes total sense even if it actually costs more, which I doubt, then it saves. In an ideal world after drug screening nobody would be on drugs then the cost benefit would be zero. At first some money would be saved because dead beats on drugs would be denied money but after awhile nobody would get caught or apply for money because they WANT to take drugs. There is no way to determine the benefit.
