Russians Celebrate Trump’s Inauguration By Putting Him On $10,000 Coin

A Russian manufacturing company has minted a $10,000 coin to commemorate the inauguration of Donald Trump as president.

The coin was manufactured by Art Grani and features the face of Trump on one side, with the Statue of Liberty and the words “In Trump we trust” on the other.

“The inauguration of Donald Trump will be a special event in the history of the world, that’s why we have done a collection,” Art Grani Sales Manager Kristina Glinina told CNN.

Despite the steep price of the coin, the company expects the limited edition to sell quickly. Just 45 coins were made: 25 made of silver, five of gold and 15 made of silver and gold.

A similar collection with the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin were created after Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014.

“We see our mission as immortalizing in metal the bright events of history and modernity, not only in our country but of the whole world,” Glinina told CNN.

This “coin” is the size of a serving platter. It would take you both hands to carry it and there is no way you could put it in your pocket, even if you defined “pocket” as a 50 lb back pack.

Russia (Putin) clearly pegged Obama as a treacherous slime who could never on Earth be trusted.

Meanwhile, Trump is perceived as a genuine deal maker who can be counted upon to keep his word and not be unreliable when it comes to negotiating important issues.

A gesture such as this makes that obvious to me. Plus, the Mint there can make a profit on this idea.

This is an example, a microcosm if you will, of the mountain that Russia still has to climb;

What I mean is this - if a high-end, limited edition, high-priced item like this is so screwed up (and its not like there aren’t Russians who have mastered English who could have been consulted to get this right), you can imagine how far Russia still has to go in terms of how backward its economy is.

They are no threat to us (other than the fact they have a mountain of nukes which they have no more desire to use than we ours), and they have been turned into a “bogeyman” the better to turn America’s policy towards the interests of certain, shall we say ... elites.

Just a hunch that relations start improving tomorrow ... just a hunch ...
