I took a look into Californias voter registration site and this is what I found was required for proof to register. (from the link 3/4 of the way down)
This is what it says you need--
How will I identify myself when registering to vote?
The voter registration application asks for your driver license or California identification card number, or you can use the last four numbers on your Social Security card. If you do not have a driver license, California identification card or Social Security card, you may leave that space blank. Your county elections official will assign a number to you that will be used to identify you as a voter.
I scoured the site but this is the only thing I could find regarding proof required to register to vote in California (in other words no proof of anything required)

Years ago one of our friends, a former female jock, tall and good shape, went to vote in her voting place and just got there before they closed it. It was a different site than before and was in a heavy Hispanic area.
She notice the gal in charge appeared to be marking ballots after having her friends sign the register.
Our friend challenged them after she voted. She seized the ballots of the phantom voters and called the police.
Sure enough the trio had forged the ballots with the checked off names of people not really there or not there. Some of the register sign ins were an X. There were over 3 dozen phantom voter ballots.
The police, when they came didn’t want to get involved. So she took the ballots and stayed until someone came to collect the ballot box. The next day she tried to submit the ballots, she had taken at the voter registration office. They didn’t want them.
Finally, she dropped the issue. After that she volunteered to be a voter monitor at that site. She arrived early and stayed until the ballot box was collected. They did have different people running the voting site after her first adventure there.
She is no longer with us. We joke that if she was a democrat, she would be still voting.
Now I wonder, if the voters, who were not there but still voted, were dearly departed ones like in this post.

AND California does a 100% verification of all voters now registered. It's not enough to just do future, need to verify who is eligible in California. And New York. And Massachusetts, and......

Voter registration in CA is a fraud. I know a guy that actually registered his dog to vote.
This morning I heard Hugh Hewitt saying there is no voter fraud....He is either ignorant or lying, there IS and always has been major Dem fraud.
Remember kiddies: To the Dems, illegal immigration is a voter drive.
UC Davis has a PDF file on all those registered by DMV etc. I saw it yesterday on the Internet.
