Why not simply detonate a bomb over the place? That would burn up the remaining fuel and end the crisis. Radiation from the bomb wouldn’t last more than three weeks, at most.

So does anyone know what the radiation levels peaked at in the lower levels of the Chernobyl plant?I read somewhere that the “elephant's foot “artifact was just unbelievably hot.

It’s even worse than this article proposes.
This is a nightmare. Think “Resident Evil” times a bunch.
That said, some of their local fauna is adapting. Maybe we can too, or rather our offsping (if you have such, I do not)

It might also have something to do with that antifreeze I spilled in the driveway a couple years ago. Not sure if they’re aware of that.

“Radiation inside one of the damaged reactors at the Fukushima nuclear power facility has reached an unimaginable level according to experts.”
Are these the same “experts” who told us we would suffer a catastrophic disaster that would wipe out humanity if Sadam set fire to Kuwait’s oil fields back in 1990?
In some dark corners of FR, FR is turning into a conspiracy nut site.
