Influential Mexicans are pushing an aggressive and perhaps risky strategy to fight a likely increase in deportations of their undocumented compatriots in the U.S.: jam U.S. immigration courts in hopes of causing the already overburdened system to break down.
The proposal calls for ad campaigns advising migrants in the U.S. to take their cases to court and fight deportation if detained. The backlog in the immigration system is tremendous, said former Foreign Minister Jorge Castañeda. The idea is to double or triple the backlog, until [U.S. President Donald] Trump desists in this stupid idea, he added.

Throw these illegals out of the country if they are caught voting!
Couldn’t we do a sort of reverse class-action suit. USA vrs all unregistered alien residents. Stack ‘em in the courts in very large groups. Give each 5 minutes to tell their sob story via an interpreter if necessary, then at the end of the session, issue a summary judgement. Off to the deportation hold. Next group !
If only mexico would fight this hard to clean up its own country.
Lo siento, pero ju haf to go back.
Our good friends to the south, still trying to jam sticks in our spokes ...
frantic at the thought of having to care for their own countrymen.
Worried sick over their narcotics interests.
Any dual citizen involved in a conspiracy to disrupt our courts and violate our Constitution should have their citizenship revoked.
Detain them in military tents in Arizona for as long as they want to drag out their cases. If they really want to pause their lives for a decade, I’m okay with that.
For the rest of them, as soon as the gravy train disappears, they will too. Even if we deport 1,000 illegals a day, that’s still only 3 million in four years. Still, it’s a start, and self-deportations could make up the slack. Especially if we can cut off welfare and jobs for those criminals, there isn’t much reason for them to stay without the money.
Note: I am not anti-immigrant, just anti-criminal. Our Congress should set the number of legal immigrants we want, where they can be from, and what skills they need to offer. The number of illegals should be zero.
And consolidated.
The media is in a catch 22.
Put those destined for deportation in a ‘holding tent city’ and have SHERIFF JOE monitor them.
Gee, that would suck. Punish us some more!
I’m thinking that flipping a coin on the way out of the hearing would be sufficient — Heads, come back later. Tails, welcome to your new living accommodations. Well, do you feel lucky, punk? You’re only need to hold half of them to ‘disintcentivize’ the rest.
HAAHAHHAHAHAH
The backlog WAS tremendous
BUT NOW WE HAVE AN ATTORNEY GENERAL WHO IS NOT A TRAITOR
sooo.....
the only backlog is going to be at the Mexican Immigration Department trying to resettle 10 million Mexicans back in their Homeland......there is gonna be a revolution in Mexico and we are gonna be damned happy we got that wall.
Any contract based on a fraud can be voided. There was willful fraud committed by one or both parents, they should not be able to foist the by products of their sex off on the rest of us.
Agreed, and, that brings up a side of this that those proposing to clog the system apparently have not considered. This tactic will tie up DHS personnel as much or more than the courts. Trump can and should respond by taking people off Visa approvals for non-citizens, to work on the new problem. Visa approvals will grind to a near halt...
(Few remember, back in the late ‘90’s, it often took YEARS for foreign spouses of US citizens to get visas to join their mate here...)
That didn’t work in 1954 when Ike instituted “Operation Wetback.”
Absolutely! Eliminate the welfare incentives for coming here. They will self deport.
Ha...The woman who voted got a 8 year jail term.
and just wait till e-verify gets implemented.
Some of the “undocumented” I’ve met are pretty dumb, but it’d be a small percentage of even the dumbest that’d willingly hang around and try to jam up the courts when they could just take a bus ride, then scamper back across the border in a couple of days or bail out OR and disappear, which is the usual stunt.
These dudes are having lib damp dreams again.
Exactly, you do that, there is no problem. They will leave.
