He let Ryan do what Ryan does best, he went along with it to show what Ryan is, this is the collar that Ryan will wear and Ryan will lose his speaker ship...what is exactly should happen...
A full repeal bill is all of one to two pages; seriously.
A reconciliation bill that repeals certain paragraphs and subitems, can be hundreds of pages.
The House need only introduce and vote on full repeal AND THEY’RE DONE!
And then the onus of the politics goes to the Senate.
In the Senate, McConnell needs only to schedule debate on the House full repeal and then call for cloture, AND HE’S DONE!
Once the democrats fail to vote for cloture, THEY OWN THE FAILURE TO REPEAL!
This could have taken LESS THAN A DAY with maybe a week’s worth of press coverage.
Then in the months following, Obamacare would fail to fund itself because it’s not affordable and it would collapse on its own. People would lose health coverage and Obama and his democrats would own it.
President Trump doesn’t want to see people suffer but he could always say he tried to repeal but the democrats insisted on keeping their unaffordable, unworkable, Obamacare.
Let the democrats burn and fry for 2018.
