Basically, Trump is a Democrat from a couple decades back - when they / unions favored tight borders, strong military, infrastructure programs and big govt entitlements.
Trump, great as he is on some issues, is cleanly to the Left of even the typical Republican when it comes to big govt dependency-producing entitlements.
We knew this in the primary race. We knew he would be no help addressing the nation’s greatest problem which is the giant dependency producing and debt exploding entitlements.
But we did not expect Trump to buddy up to the establishment so quickly to create brand new federal entitlements - entitlements created by Republicans is not winning, not from Freedom’s perspective.
It seems illogical and unusually immature to declare war against Freedom’s most reliable factions just because his reputation earned a well-deserved boo-boo over the TrumpCare debacle.
Pys-ops folks, pys-ops.

No he isn’t, DACA still operates as if it were law and not something Obama dreamed up. It is now Trump’s illegal DACA program.

Newt Gingrich said that President Trump was misled by House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) into believing that he could pay little attention to the Obamacare replacement bill, and come in at the end and sign it. He made the comments Friday to Sean Hannity on Fox News.
“I was angrier than I want to really admit publicly earlier today,” Hannity admitted, “I’m not as angry now. Now I see an opportunity. And I sense that they’re not gonna make this mistake again, please tell me they won’t do this again this way.”
“Well, first of all you have no idea whether or not they’ll make that mistake or invent a new mistake,” Gingrich offered.
“What do you do know is that Donald Trump is a very smart guy,” he continued. “He just went through an experience that wasn’t what he was told. He had been told that everything was under control, the leadership could deliver, he didn’t have to pay too much attention, come in at the very end and close the deal. And it got to be a total mess.”
Gingrich seemed to imply that Ryan deserved to lose the speakership over the debacle, saying, “I can guarantee you that if this had been one of his hotels, one of his buildings, one of his golf courses, there’d be a lot of personnel changes tonight. And I think what you’re gonna see is that he’s gonna rethink how he’s going to approach the Congress based on this outcome. Because it was so totally, utterly unacceptable.”
“At the same time I think, Paul Ryan is at a real turning point,” he continued. “Ryan’s a very smart guy, nobody should take that away from him. And he knows an immense amount about policy.”
“But he’s gotta decide, in the world of Trump,” he advised, “where you’re doing really bold, really different things, is he willing to spend the time and the energy, listening to everybody, even when he doesn’t agree with them, doesn’t think they make any sense, because only by, we used to use a model of listen, learn, help and lead. And only by doing this, and you’ve talked about it some, only by getting everybody in the dialogue, you have a chance of ultimately getting to the majority. And I think this was an example, that starting at the top, trying to run it through the system is not going to work.”
Trump allies and supporters have sought to put the blame of the repeal bill’s failure squarely on the shoulders of Ryan and the GOP leadership, while the administration has resisted doing so. Instead, the president blamed Democrats for resisting all efforts to repeal Obamacare, and said he would let it “explode” and let them come to him later.
The bill faced opposition from the Freedom Caucus of conservative Republicans Thursday, causing the vote to be postponed. But Friday when concessions were made to the right wing of the party, moderates dropped their support, dooming the bill.

My guy is a founding member of the HFC, and is one of the best: Ron Desantis. Look him up.
HFC guys are under-the-radar Tea Party, and are despised by the GOPe. They are so targeted by the leadership of the GOPe that they allow members to keep their membership secret.
I am die hard Trump, fought hard to get him elected along with countless others. Broken glass Trumpian, I am. But targeting the HFC? Man, that is the one thing that could make me turn away from Trump. If he doesn’t back off, he will lose some die hard Trumpians. I ain’t there yet, but the door has cracked open.
Whoever is advising Trump to do this needs his ass handed to him. Bad advice, really bad.
People should read the Constitution more often. Doing so would cure them of many foolish notions.

He’s not keeping his promise on healthcare because a bunch of intractable conservatives decided having 100% of Obamacare in place was way better than having, say, 70% of it in place.
Most disappointing that "I am just the messenger" now looks like bullshit sales talk. It's going to take a bit of work for him to turn this one back around.

I know polls are skewed, but there was no support for RyanCare. Look at the polls discussed in article below & see Dems were thrilled because voters said they’d vote for someone else if their Congress person voted for it. It wasn’t just the freedom caucus—moderates got lots of calls against it too. Please take a quick look, this was not going to be a win for Trump.

You need to take a pill! I am not a so-called conservative. I'm a life long conservative and I support the Freedom Caucus. I have an extensive posting history on this topic and I been consistent in my belief that the Ryan bill was a disaster. It was and it should have died just as it did.
So insulting them and slandering them is his way of getting them to negotiate? F him.
F him? Grow the hell up. If you voted for Donald Trump thinking he was a movement conservative then you weren't paying attention and that's your fault. He did not insult or slander the FC. He's negotiating...and you can bet that Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows are planning on working with him on a bill that will pass and satisfy most of us. Good for them. that's how adults get things done in the real world.
That is cool, that some are under the radar. Because I remember what happened when the original Tea Party became a voice to be reckoned with; infiltrators and just garden-variety scammers began using the name while playing the left’s game.

Since when? As we all know last Friday after the vote for TrumpCare was pulled again - Trump said that he was done with this for now. He’s “moving on”
