In the bonfire of the vanities that is the aftermath of Hillary Clinton’s campaign of 2016 one quote from Shattered, the book of the week, stands supreme.

People like Hillary Clinton won’t understand what is happening to the country until they carve out the cataracts in their eyes that prevent them from seeing what their politics hath wrought. And it is pretty obvious that the same applies to the rest of elite liberaldom.

The political movement that built the welfare state and the administrative state and the liberal cultural hegemony is going on the rocks, and liberals can’t believe it.

The political movement that gave us Reagan and won the Cold War is also on the rocks. But we conservatives are not that shocked that good old gentlemanly libertarian conservatism is done. We conservatives went through our five stages of grief in the year between the Descent of Trump and the nomination of Trump, and now face the world without illusion.

Unlike liberals, still hysterically sobbing in their liberal safe space.

To see what is going on it helps to look at another country that may be in the middle of its own Brexit/Trump phenomenon, i.e., France.

It's not just liberals. I strongly believe many elected representative with (R) after their name also haven't a clue. The dearth of legislative accomplishments in Congress since January tells me that they haven't grasped the message of the 2016 election.

Then when there’s no longer any taxpayers left ... I remember reading that there are only 47% of the working public paying taxes on their income; like they’re supporting the rest of those who don’t work. Then on top of it, they go and steal from them as well.

We need some sort of meme like this, because the demolition of the white working class is happening all over the western world, and attention must be paid. And the way back starts with what the Chinese call the Rectification of Names. In Anglo-Saxon, this is termed “calling a spade a spade.”

One thing about Freepers; we have no problem calling a spade a spade. As this article suggests; It's likely why we are inoculated from being shocked at anything that happens politically. Disappointed, angry, or happy, sure, but never shocked like the leftist liberals are now.

One distinction not grasped by the left (and possibly some on the right) is one can be conservative and liberal/progressive at the same time; just not in the same context as the left defines liberal and progressive. Our founding fathers were quite open-minded and forward thinking (liberal and progressive). The left however has taken those two words and altered the meaning of them for their benefit.

A distinction with a difference if you will.

As I understand it since I wasn't there; there was also a heavy Christian influence on most of those who settled in the new land which would have had a hand in creating the documents that went along with the founding of America. That influence was likely felt more in the populated areas than the frontier but I suppose that would depend on those pioneers.

The western world is putting strong, fearless leaders in charge who have the power of a driving dream motivating them.
That dream is to fulfill the destiny of western culture, of Judeo/Christian culture. It is a vision greater than the siren call of statist authority. It is a vision that places the authority of the individual over its own life. It is a vision of true freedom. The freedom of each person to fulfill their personal destiny must be our central concern.

Progressive thought lost that vision, if, indeed, it ever had it. Progressive thought assumes the rights of those with power are greater than any individual.
Abortion, environmentalism, globalism are false gods that feed on moral disintegration. They each seek to empower an ethic that denies any authority to individuals in favor of central authority over everyone.
These false gods demand slavery of the mind and of the spirit to ruling authority. The end of this process is brute force thuggery.
Those on the left who fight against this spirit of individual dignity are themselves trapped in their belief that the machinations of their false gods are the only way forward.
They fervently believe that abortion empowers freedom. They believe that environmentalism protects life. They believe that one-world government brings peace.
They are wrong, terribly, horribly wrong.
We have set our feet on a path that can restore dignity, honor, and strength in each citizen’s life. This is the final battle for civilization that celebrates personal achievement and encourages each person to be better than they are.
We do this not by surrendering to a great leader but by controlling our leadership and by making certain that our leaders are servants, not masters.

Great! I don't want them to understand what's happening. The more I reinforce their myths and misconceptions, the more I encourage their mis-steps and delusion.

At supper, my brother expressed his frustration with snowflakes following his Facebook page. I explained that they can't be reasoned with, but reinforcing their delusion drives them further outside the mainstream and marginalizesg even more than they are already.
