In homes in Montclair and across North Jersey, residents are breaking bread with Syrian refugees, sharing food and conversation. These dinners, aimed at fostering understanding and communication, are being organized by the Syria Supper Club, a group firmly rooted in the township.
NJ 11th For Change, an organization founded by Montclair residents, continues to host protests at the New Jersey offices of Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, R-11, pressuring him to hold town hall meetings. Houses of worship, residents and some shops in the township have put up signs with the same message — “No matter where you are from, we’re glad you’re our neighbor” — in three languages, Spanish, Arabic and English.

From 1890 to 1965, the US allowed no immigration from China. From 1917 to 1965, the US allowed no immigration from ANY countries in the entire continent of Asia.
Today, people from China, Korea, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan are being welcomed with open arms into White suburban neighborhoods.
But I guess it’s only cool to welcome people of color who speak Arabic and Spanish.

I have lived and worked in that part of N.J. They will get royally screwed in two of those three languages. Darwin at work.

They are some Montclair Republicans. Some of them would probably have knocked on their doors with disgust and argue with them.

I just saw one of those "10 Safest States to Live In" slideshows, and NJ was one of the states. LOL
At these dinners do the men and women sit separately? Do they have nice conversations about tossing homos off buildings or the best way to cut a young girl for FGM? How to rape someone maybe or beat your wife? Just everyone getting to know each other. Fun times.
I don’t think you can trust those slideshows.
They do but they use finger-bowls while speaking about such things.
