President Young responds to controversial comments made by A&M professor Tommy Curry.

In a podcast from 2012 that has resurfaced, Texas A&M philosophy professor Tommy Curry made comments referencing the killing of white people in context to defending the black community and as a response to racism. He references the movie “Django Unchained,” as point of reference to his talking points.

The clip of Redding News Review podcast was included in an article published Tuesday by The American Conservative, which criticized Curry’s comments. The article includes several other links to examples of Curry’s rhetoric, which contain similar themes.

In the podcast, which is posted on the host Rob Redding's YouTube channel, Curry began by saying, “today I want to talk about killing white people in context.”

The context Curry went on to explain was the historical past of slave rebellions and the current protection of black communities. Curry further said that the 2nd Amendment has a historical role, which was to arm white people to put down such revolts.

"When we have this conversation about violence or killing white people it has to be looked at in the kind of this historical turn,” Curry said. “And the fact that we've had no one address, like how relevant and how solidified this kind of tradition is for black people — saying look, in order to be equal, in order to be liberated, some white people may have to die.”

Following the article, A&M president Michael Young emailed the student body responding to Curry’s comments.

“The interview features disturbing comments about race and violence that stand in stark contrast to Aggie core values – most notably those of respect, excellence, leadership and integrity – values that we hold true toward all of humanity,” Young said in his response.

Young went on to cite the First Amendment, saying that all views and talking points are protected under it.

“The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects the rights of others to offer their personal views, no matter how reprehensible those views may be,” Young said. “It also protects our right to freedom of speech which I am exercising now.”

Despite this, Young said he does not condone what Curry said.

“We wish no violence or harm even to those who espouse hateful views under the First Amendment,” Young said. “Our core values are very much intact, including those for which we stand, and in contrast to that for which we most assuredly do not. This is something that needs to be said here and now and lived in all of our days.”

Yet the SOB is still teaching there...Whites are a defeated people. If a white said this or anything close not only would he have been fired but would be crucified for weeks on end in the MSM and by our government, by an outcast to society, his family would be in danger and maybe even face some sort of criminal charges.

This president has no spine and should be fired. Clearly does not have what it takes to lead this institution.

Defeated people? :) Come on.

We know what colleges are and we know by now “if a white person blah blah”...

Whatever.

Colleges are a joke and are the WORST to look to as a microcosm of the US as a whole.

Saying this in an investment bank or law firm would have you escorted off the grounds. I know. I saw people escorted out for less.

The VAST majority of congressmen would not get reelected if they said this.

Nuts on the left said respect for vets was dead when Trump made that statement on McCain, then women’s rights were dead when those comments on the bus came out.

They were WRONG and it was no big deal what the Big Guy said.

It’s no big deal what this guy said.

The good Professor said that blacks should talk about killing white people in the context that white people should be in fear for their lives. The idiot president of A&M says that it’s his First Amendment right to do so.

So let’s engage in a little thought experiment. How about if someone talks about walking up to and blasting smug, sheltered, insular college professors and administrators in their parking lot after work, in the context that they should have a reality check on the consequences of the BS that pours out of their mouths? Will that pass First Amendment muster?

It’s strictly an academic exercise, of course.

“The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects the rights of others to offer their personal views, no matter how reprehensible those views may be,” Young said.

Though that is an accurate statement, The First Amendment does NOT protect speech that incites violence. Not only should Curry be fired, so should Young, for keeping Curry on.

It is entirely possible that academic institutions depriving conservatives of their civil rights (and those like A&M harboring academics making death threats), may have committed federal offenses, including, but not limited to:

<><> Title 18 U.S.C. §1341, Mail Fraud, 18 U.S.C.§1001, Presenting a False Document to an Agent of the US Government for funding (may involve several felonies and could include forgery);

<><> 18 U.S.C.§1027 False statements and concealment of facts in relation to funding documents required by ERISA enacted 1974 and other possible offenses including civil and/or criminal RICO violations.

<><> 18 U.S.C. §§1961-68 (RICO Act)18 U.S.C. §1001 (making false Statements to Agents of the US Government regarding federal funding),

<><> 18 U.S.C. §241(Conspiracies Against Civil Rights). Violation of Civil Rights under Color of law and conspiracy. Conspiring with others to violate conservative students’ 4th amendment rights.

<><> Possibly full investigations centering on RICO conspiracies under 18 U.S.C. §1962(c) could be warranted because (1) the persons (2) were employed by or associated with a federally funded enterprise (3) that engaged in or affected interstate commerce and that (4) the persons operated or managed the enterprise (5) through a “pattern” (6) of racketeering activity, and (7) the taxpayers were injured by reason of the “pattern” of racketeering activity.

<><> Alleged Offenses could include Violation of Rights – which prohibits in relevant part, “two or more persons (from conspiring) to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District

<><> Title 18 U.S.C. §2 41 – Conspiracy Against Constitutional mandates in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of having so exercised the same . . .” See, 18 U.S.C. §241.

Texas A&M is a taxpayer supported state school. The professor is a state employee.

If any rank and file state employee of any race or ethnic background would have been fired for making statements like this professor, then the professor should be fired.

The first amendment speaks to actions by Congress, not by employers. I have always known my employer can terminate my employment at any time for statements I make in public, whether on or off the job. The professor should be treated the same.

Another action, dear Liz....

Folks should call The 12th Man Foundation....who rake in hundreds of thousands for their Aggie sports programs....and ask why anyone should send another 1¢ to this school, so long as this racist prof is still employed there.

I cordially invite those pussies at that college to come to my house and try to kill me. I am getting bored and need some action like sending 5,000 rounds of hot lead downrange.

You can’t defy gravity and mouthing “kill whitey” from a classroom in College Station” is roughly tantamount to swatting the proverbial bee hive. The billionaire donors to A & M and politicians are burning up the phone lines ALL wanting this guy fired and I guarantee Abbott does.

Young went on to cite the First Amendment, saying that all views and talking points are protected under it.

"Fire" in a crowded theater?

Inciting a riot?

Death threats?

Perjury?

False claims in advertising?

All speech is not legal or protected.

Ask him if God talk is protected in school.

If one of this agitator’s pupils takes up his ideology and kills one or more white people, is there any legal culpability from the professor?

Do the extremist Imam who indoctrinate the jihadists in America bear any guilt? They’ve been identified. Several domestic terrorists got the message from the same guy.

Charles Manson didn’t even murder anyone but he got the death penalty (since commuted to life when the death penalty was briefly suspended).

How do you become the President of a University without knowing the definition of the word “condone”?
