France Continues to Rip US Over Climate Deal Inform 00:2300:54 Autoplay: On | Off President Trump's decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement this week sent shockwaves through global diplomacy.

Half a dozen world leaders lambasted the Thursday announcement, which Trump said was meant to protect American businesses from the “unfair” terms of the climate accord negotiated in 2015.

Former diplomats and experts warned that the U.S.'s disengagement on climate could be a defining moment for a Trump administration that is focused more on an "America First" agenda than engaging with international allies.

“I really think that is the major consequence of today: it’s not about the Paris agreement,” said Christiana Figueres, the former head of the United Nation’s climate change mission.

“I think the real problem today and the real sadness is the absolute death blow to the international credibly of the current U.S. leadership. … The blow to the international political credibility of the United States really cannot be underestimated.”

Really? Do tell. Why, it's almost as if that's what we elected him for.

I expected NATO to cause some squeaking, but this? For an American President to state that he's going to do something and then does it, "international political credibility" has just been validated, not threatened. Trump offered to renegotiate and was furiously told "No!" End of story.

That’s ok France, you go ahead and be the world leader on climate change, you and Germany need to pay China and India to reduce their carbon footprint. In the meantime we will take the money we have saved and come up with new and better ways to reduce ours and provide inexpensive power to our people

After 72 years, it’s time. Time to end our occupation of Germany since WW2. Let these bozos fend for themselves.

If they’re going to hate on America so much, f’em.

I’m sure that their scorn has nothing to do with the $100 billion of taxpayer’s money that Obama promised them. That they’re not going to get now.
