Trump Jr. Emails Prove Russia Collusion Story Is Even Dumber Than You Thought
dailycaller.com ^ | 07/12/2017

Donald Trump Jr. scooped The New York Times Tuesday morning by tweeting out the email chain that has been the subject of three stories suggesting he knew that a meeting with a Russian attorney was part of Russia’s effort to assist his father’s presidential campaign.

The predictable claims that the emails are a “smoking gun” proving collusion and that such activity amounted to “treason” followed. But what the emails actually reveal is nothing of the sort.

First, when “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia was originally discussed it had always been within the context of the Trump campaign assisting the Russians with hacking the DNC. But with these emails, that theory immediately falls apart. As I wrote on Monday, the DNC knew in May that Russia hacked its network. Don Jr. met with the Russian lawyer in June, the month after the hack—meaning that Don Jr. could not collude to do something that had already happened.

Unfortunately they reveal Don Jr is not very smart.

Other than that, it’s a nothing burger.

Longer the DNC and MSM can keep this farce front and center
the less chance Hillary and the Obama administration will be prosecuted for the real crimes

Not very smart? He did nothing wrong. He’ll come out of this with record popularity within the GOP base. Just watch.

“Don Jr is not very smart.”

WHAT? Because he isn’t immersed in all things political and made an innocent mistake in this meeting he isn’t smart.

BASED on your comment I’ll say you aren’t very smart.

Has nothing to do with being smart. Has more to do with the difference between a businessman and a politician. We are not at war with Russia, so there should have been no alarms going off. He took the meeting to find out what they offered. Had it been something illegal he would have turned it over, but it was nothing

Is “collusion” even a correct word for this whole issue? “Collusion” implies illegality or fraud. Is meeting people from anywhere and everywhere for purposes of gathering opposition research illegal or fraudulent? And why aren’t the lamestreams reporting on the incidents in which the Dems did the exact same thing?

This is so funny. Democrats tripping over themselves “claiming” to have the Smoking Gun come up empty handed......again! MSM needs to re-register as a political action group and not a news service. They are obviously acting on the behalf of the Democrat party, and they have lost all sense of direction

The notion that Donald, Jr. did something wrong, now being promoted by the Trump haters, seems particularly ridiculous, when one recalls Obama's open mike incident in 2012.

Tactical suggestion: Every time anyone, in conversation, in online posting, in personal correspondence, electronic or in print--wherever!--always couple any discussion with a reminder of Obama's perfidious comment & also reference to Hillary's dealings with Russia & other foreign nations, where it was not simply a matter of a harmless search for information. Also remind anyone being addressed, that Donald Jr., did not offer to compromise American interests in any way. (Obama & Mrs. Clinton, on the other hand . . .!)

We need to take the offensive. It is precisely in the willingness to compromise America's true interests, that the Trump Haters find their common interest. The President's inspiring speech in Warsaw articulated the values that the haters mean to undermine, as demonstrated by their actions over & over again, since the inauguration of Bill Clinton.

Of course, information seeking from a possible source, is both honorable & legal. The endless perpetuation of false narratives by the Trump haters, should be treated with the contempt & ridicule it so richly deserves.

Take the offensive. We can win on this if we do!

The Dums are suggesting some official connection between the Russian Babe Attorney because she is seated behind him? Who are the other individuals seated behind him and next to her? Are they Russian “Officials”, or just Ordinary Russian citizens? Or possibly the Ambassador’s staff?

My next door neighbor is Russian. Neither Donald Trump Sr. or Jr. have ever been to his house; therefore, I see no Russian Connection at all with the Trumps.

He also attended the meeting with witnesses, promised nothing, and did nothing. If the Russians were offering political information, hell yes, take it. Just like the “hacked e-mails” that revealed the DNC treated the presidential campaign as a game of three-card monte with Bernie Sanders and the entire democrat base as the suckers. Even if the Russians were the source of those emails, which is questionable, they didn’t write those emails, and the Russians didn’t run a sucker’s game. The DNC did.

So if they were offering information on nefarious stunts of Hillary Clinton, of which there are many, it wasn’t the Russians who did those things, it was Hillary Clinton. Of course, we now know that the Russian lady was not offering that information. It was BS and Trump Jr. walked.

So what’s the big hairy deal?
