Obama Was Briefed On Russian Hacking But Did Nothing
Weekly Standard ^ | DEC 13, 2016 | By MICHAEL WARREN / FR Posted by drewh

In the extensive report on the massive Russian-backed operation to hack American political and government severs—including a successful hack of the Democratic National Committee's server—the paper reveals that President Barack Obama had been "briefed regularly" on Russia's effort to target servers at the State Department, the White House, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Here's the Times: Mr. Obama was briefed regularly on all this, but he made a decision that many in the White House now regret: He did not name Russians publicly, or issue sanctions. There was always a reason: fear of escalating a cyberwar, and concern that the United States needed Russia's cooperation in negotiations over Syria.

"We'd have all these circular meetings," one senior State Department official said, "in which everyone agreed you had to push back at the Russians and push back hard. But it didn't happen."

So the Russians escalated again — breaking into systems not just for espionage, but to publish or broadcast what they found, known as "doxing" in the cyberworld.

It was a brazen change in tactics, moving the Russians from espionage to influence operations. In February, 2014 they broadcast an intercepted phone call between Victoria Nuland, the assistant secretary of state who handles Russian affairs and has a contentious relationship with Mr. Putin, and Geoffrey Pyatt, the United States ambassador to Ukraine. Ms. Nuland was heard describing a little-known American effort to broker a deal in Ukraine, then in political turmoil. (Excerpt) Read more at weeklystandard.com ...

=========================================

THIS JUST IN: Behind closed doors in 2012, Obama's hand-picked NATO rep, Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller, told the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee in a classified briefing, that Russia was violating the INF treaty by developing and testing a new ground-based cruise missile.

The Obama administration didn’t tell the North Atlantic Council, NATO’s political body, about the violations until January 2014....... and didn’t disclose them publicly until July 2014.

Clearly, Obama was playing footsie w/ the Russians....supporting the Russians then. After Hillary lost and needed a legal crutch to smear Trump, Obama makes a fast about-face.

And let's not forget the fact that the Russians are co-signers to the Iran deal. Obama made lots of concessions to the Russians and the Iranians to keep the deal intact.

What many people may not know is that Obama in the last few days of his administration rushed thru the UN Security Council a deal to allow Iran to receive a huge shipment of natural uranium from Russia to compensate it for exporting tons of reactor coolant, diplomats say, in a move approved by the outgoing U.S. administration and other governments seeking to keep Tehran committed to a landmark nuclear pact.

Two senior diplomats said the transfer recently approved by the U.S. and five other world powers that negotiated the nuclear deal with Iran foresees delivery of 116 metric tons (nearly 130 tons) of natural uranium.

One final Iran blunder by Obama

And Obama knew full well on January 10, 2017 that the Russians had interfered in our elections based on the Intel community report. Yet, he colluded with the Russians and the Iranians to make this transfer of uranium from the Russians to the Iranians.

Maybe he did nothing because there was nothing and he knew it.

Antifa/anarchists/marxists/bamn are one problem. Another part of the story is the local/state governments, schools (not just college level), and Soros-style funders. For example, when the local govt. in Berkeley orders the police to stand down and let thugs do whatever they want, lawsuits against such a government are very unlikely to succeed. What do you do when government ignores domestic terrorism?
