McConnell: If Moore wins, he'll "immediately" face Ethics Committee

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that if Alabama's Senate candidate Roy Moore wins, he'll face an ethics investigation immediately after he's sworn into office. "It would be a rather unusual beginning," McConnell said, speaking at a Wall Street Journal event.

"I'd like to save the seat, and it's a heck of a dilemma when you've got a completely unacceptable candidate bearing the label of your party within a month of the election," he added.

McConnell is one of several Republicans who have called for Moore to step aside. He has also spoken with President Trump and Vice President Pence about the allegations against the candidate, but Trump has yet to take a public stance on the issue.

Mitch McConnell spent $30 million of GOP donor money to stop Roy Moore and that didn't work. So now he is willing to jeopardize representation in the Senate for the whole state of Alabama because he lost the primary.

All this is based on accusations that are over THIRTY YEARS OLD! The voters in Kentucky should initiate a recall of McConnell. He has shown himself to be a man of low integrity and little honor.

Mitch McConnell might want to ponder on what recently happened to his colleague Rand Paul and multiply that by 10,000. Or will he close all roads between Alabama and Kentucky?

I’ve heard equally valid rumors that Mitch had sex with roadkill deer while wearing a Bigfoot outfit.

McConnell & the Swamp are losing so far in their battle with the Swamp Drainer Judge Roy Moore. They’ll lose yet again on December 12th when the judge wins the election. And, should the dumb ass McConnell try to lodge ethics charges, he’ll lose that battle also.

The Turtleman is living in fear and can see the end of his corrupt reign coming. He’s desperate!

If Moore wins and he is denied his seat, the citizens of Alabama should rise the State House and the Governor’s mansion to the ground.

Ed Markey slapped the crap out of Kathy Steed in 1971 in Malden. It was at The Rex. A well known Make Out spot. The disgraced Police Chief who went to prison for stealing the Police Exam and selling it buried Markey’s assault. Everyone was there and saw it.

Indeed. Mitch should go to Roy Moore with his hat in his hand and surrender, ask what he can do to redeem himself. I mean this as a real recommendation. He still thinks like it’s ten years ago. He should realize that the Bushes don’t run anything anymore. Those rotten old days are over

Moore’s only offense is that he’s an unapologetic Christian Conservative. Such a man would be an embarrassment to out of touch elitist slimators who believe their only job is ‘making sausage.”

Accusers who come out of the woodwork after 40 years, despite having multiple opportunities to do so earlier, have no credibility.

Maybe Midge needs to face the Ethics Committee for why he was discharged from the Army. Stories are circulating out there as to the real reason why.

Ted Kennedy not only killed a girl, he was a serial philanderer like his brother JFK. Oh and he tried to get the Soviet Union to ‘do something’ about Ronald Reagan.

He was called the lion of the senate...Yup.

There may very well be an Ethics investigation of Roy Moore if he wins election, but I very definitely doubt that Mitch “Obama’s Bitch” McConnell and a few other prominent Republican Senators will be taking part in the festivities.

The reason for this that I rather suspect they are going to be named defendants in one or more lawsuits filed by Roy Moore or his wife and they will have to recuse their scumbag selves from the proceedings.
