The rule seems to be, ‘forget personal hygiene’ and that's the basis for everything else.

C’mon-I used to be a student too, but no matter what the ‘fashion’-there is always soap and water. No one needs to be so dirty that they smell. This includes faculty
My advisor was great. A quirky guy and we all liked him. He was a fervent environmentalist and showered once a week-my guess was for church on Sundays. By the end of the week we all stayed a few steps back when talking with him.
Is it laziness or saving the planet where you work?
