I work at a univ., so if you want to know what they're wearing just look at the students.

The rule seems to be, ‘forget personal hygiene’ and that's the basis for everything else.

I am sick to death of looking at dirty, matted hair, dirty clothes, dirty sneakers with everything, run over at the heel, torn jeans...etc.

C’mon-I used to be a student too, but no matter what the ‘fashion’-there is always soap and water. No one needs to be so dirty that they smell. This includes faculty

My advisor was great. A quirky guy and we all liked him. He was a fervent environmentalist and showered once a week-my guess was for church on Sundays. By the end of the week we all stayed a few steps back when talking with him.

Is it laziness or saving the planet where you work?

Sounds like American college campuses in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s:

“I am sick to death of looking at dirty, matted hair, dirty clothes, dirty sneakers with everything, run over at the heel, torn jeans...etc.”
