Holz said he was not optimistic that Syrian and Afghan migrants would be able to fill the various positions due to the difficulty of the language barrier, noting that some migrants had been in the country for years and still struggled to learn German.

Well, that's a shock. Who could possibly have anticipated that?

"Come on in. Everything is free. You don't have to learn or do anything. Wait, why aren't you working?"

Back when the flood of “refugees” was pouring into Germany I sat in our church office and had a discussion with some of the ladies. Two were very caring and wanted to know what I had against “poor refugees, fleeing war”.

I pointed out that the pictures we were allowed to see had about 85+% of young, single males. But, the news was filled with pictures of the odd mother and, of course, the poor, poor children.

I commented that based on my travels in the Navy that normally a refugee group fleeing war was made up of women, kids and very old men. The fighting age men stayed to fight for their land.

Not so here, and now the battle is over allowing “chain migration” which will swell the roll of the welfare class. I have seen studies where something like 90% will never have any real gainful employment.

Oh, one of the ladies who had been quiet most of the conversation finally piped up and supported me 100%. She really tore into those with, politically correct, bleeding hearts.
