Theresa May’s political weakness was brutally exposed to Brussels on Monday as an agreement struck between Britain and the EU to solve the problem of the Irish border and move to the next phase of Brexit talks was torpedoed by a last-minute telephone call with the leader of the Democratic Unionist party.
Confidence early on Monday that an agreement was within reach came to nothing when, during a working lunch with the European commission president, Jean Claude Juncker, May was forced to pause discussions to take a call from Arlene Foster.
The unionist leader, whose party currently provides the Tories with a working majority in the Commons, told the British prime minister that she could not support Downing Street’s planned commitment to keep Northern Ireland aligned with EU laws.

Jacob Rees-Mogg,an amazing British member of Parliament (check him out on youtube),when commenting on Brexit, observed that a club that kicks you in the shins when you try to leave probably wasn't worth joining in the first place.
So, Theresa May was going to thrown Northern Ireland overboard and now the mayor of London wants to stay in the EU? Reminds me of our mess with sanctuary cities and California talking about secession.

The May agenda has always been to undermine Brexit. She's done all she can to make it onerously expensive, she's even given up the Tories' outright majority in Parliament by calling special elections for no reason. Now she wants to make sure UK law conforms to EU laws after Brexit, which means, NO BREXIT. May as well send supertankers to pick up millions of jihadists and just get the British suicide over with already. Thanks Berlin_Freeper.
