If she's so principled why isn't she naming names now? Somebody has to know who spent the money, who authorized the fund in the first place. Pull the plug, Marsha.

She likely doesn’t know the names. By the way, Marsha is a SOLID American Patriot and, God willing, the next Republican Senator from Tennessee.

I need to get my oil changed. I like to use synthetic. But I think I’ll wait instead of trying it on a Saturday.

Probably for the same reason she never demanded Ryan resign as speaker
and still hasn’t called for Mitch to resign as Majority Leader.
She pretends to be a conservative, but is really part of the swamp
too.

Her point here is to vote against tax payer funded slush funds to settle cases out of court.

That’s going to be a gimme, anyway. Who pray tell would vote in favor of a slush fund?

More important, if these charges have so much weight then take the complaint to the cops.

I’m not a fan of witch trial rhetoric or oh poor women rhetoric regardless of whether it comes from the right or left. Life for men is no less hard if not harder than for women especially in the Western world. Every aspect of society is set up against men yet they’re constantly told how easy they have it and what monsters they are. You can’t let loose on our shoe and tell us its raining.

I am not defending goat humping Muslims but is it crazy to think they have a pretty good handle on how to treat women in their own way?

Laws and rules are needed for men and women.

There are a few women who ARE NOT a cross between the Virgin Mary and Mother Teresa. Some of those women use sexuality and 'putting out' to move up the corporate ladder.

Not only does this behavior work as an incentive for men to hit on other women in an office setting but it steals job promotions from harder working and more qualified women.

Can we assume Hollywood stars who didn't complain about Weinstein - - but got on the first rung of the ladder after meeting with him were putting out? Lots of bimbos on TV... Matt Lauer has his share with full knowledge of those around him. I suspect his 'popularity' wasn't based on his looks or charm...

Women need to learn how to say no - without feeling the women one desk over will get the promotion... AND there needs to be a statue of limitation. Complaints from 20 years ago - with all witnesses gone are unacceptable.

“It will not, however, expose the victims’ names. If they want to step forward, that is their choice.”

As a society, we are trying to figure out what standards of evidence (if any) to apply to these cases. “Beyond a reasonable doubt” may be too high. “Preponderance of evidence” may also be too demanding a standard. “Story sounds plausible” is too low. But a separate issue is whether the accused gets a chance to confront the accuser and try to refute the charges. In my opinion, anonymous denunciations are inherently dangerous. It may be hard, but if you have a problem, you have to step forward and make your case publicly. Those (and there may be many) who are too weak or too afraid to defend themselves may wind up without effective redress, and I feel sympathy for anyone in that situation. I don’t know any answer for them except to encourage them to be strong and stand up for themselves in the face of what amounts to bullying, or to accept their fate in silence if they can’t. Anonymous charges are too prone to abuse to be a workable answer.

Ryan Lizza, a major writer for the New Yorker lost his job with them, plus his teaching job at Georgetown University, plus his appearances on CNN and MSNBC all in one morning due to allegations from a woman who shielded her identity and made her charges through her attorney. We can’t know who she is and his career goes from great to non-existent in no time at all and without any due process that I can see. He may richly deserve it, but we have no way of knowing.

Yeah, sure. And what about the women who falsely accuse men?
