So if Trump were to be reelected and were to be succeeded by Pence (or whoever Trump had for VP of his second term), that alone would be a signal success. And as far as I can see, that will be necessary to save the Republic. Because nothing short of that can signify the delegitimatization of Obama/Hillary in the eyes of the low-information voter.
