Disney Outlines Brand New “Security Measures” That Has People Refusing to Attend Resorts
Conservative Tribune ^ | 12/28/17 | Kimberly J Smith

Disney has updated security policies at several of its resorts in Orlando’s Walt Disney World, but not everyone is happy about it.

Three of the Resort Hotels — the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Polynesian Village Resort and Contemporary Resort with its Bay Lake Tower — have already seen the tighter measures in place, which include the removal of the “Do Not Disturb” door sign.

The signs have been replaced with “Room Occupied” door hangers, which will alert maintenance and Disney staff that guests are currently in their rooms, but will not stop staff from coming in.

"...new hotel door signs..."

Agreed. I do not want further ease hotel staff, many who are likely illegals, with snooping around my possessions.

I’d go on a hundred more cruises before I’d spend a night in one of those overpriced rooms on the Disney property. However, I will not set foot on any ship bearing the logo of the lovable rodent.

It’s private property. Disney can do anything they want.

sort of. Disney is actually its own state of florida municipality. It is literally a city/town unto itself.

My homemade sign would say - Transgender Orgy In Progress ... that should keep anyone from opening the door, but if anyone does knock then I’d just give them the sound effects to match, which I’m sure would send them running!

I’ve stayed at all of those mentioned resorts and none of them has the kind of line of sight the Vegas shooter had at the Mandalay Bay. If you wanted to find a packed crowd at Walt Disney World with minimal security you would go to Downtown Disney, not a resort. This is more of a preemptive PR stunt than an actual security improvement.

If I were head of the bad guys, WDW would be a very high priority.

Being head of Disney security must suck.

However, some have speculated that the changes are due to the Las Vegas mass shooting the occurred in October.

Rep. Titus (D), reported early on housekeeping had been in there and had seen nothing amiss.

under the new policy, the hotel and its staff “reserve the right to enter your room for any purposes

Nothing new. Hotel employees have always been allowed to come and go as they please.

Is this from Disney’s lawyers...or from DHS?
