I would say there is a good chance this is an Australian left wing pinko news outlet, just like CNN.

The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) is the largest left wing news organisation in Australia, and one of the furthest to the left. It's not supposed to be - it's government funded and is meant to be politically balanced, but it hasn't been for years, and so far conservative governments have not reigned it in - they haven't tried hard enough in my view, but it really is far left and not representative of Australia as a whole.

Thank-you for pointing this out.

As an observer of the American left-wing media for many years, I know that they are not representative of the majority of Americans, either.

I should have realized that the media in Australia is far-left and unrepresentative of a majority of the populace, just like here in the U.S.A.

P.S.: My late uncle was a soldier in the South Pacific during World War II. He was in Australia for awhile.
