Nancy Pelosi launches House filibuster to demand vote on Dreamers
Washington Examiner ^ | Feb 7, 2018 | Pete Kasperowicz

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., launched a filibuster of sorts in the House on Wednesday, by taking the floor to talk about the need to pass legislation to protect the Dreamers.

The House was set to start debating the Mortgage Choice Act, but Pelosi took the floor shortly after 10 a.m., and said she wanted to talk at length about immigration.

A filibuster is an action lawmakers can take in the Senate, not in the House. However, both Pelosi and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., are both permitted to talk at length on the floor because of their leadership status. Both of them often request one minute to speak, but go on for several minutes, a privilege afforded to them because of their status.

All Ryan needs to do is cut the podiums mic that Pelosi is regurgitating from, set-up another podium that functions, and work around the harpy.

Bonus points for hiring an artist that employs perspective techniques to capture the chamber on a panorama ply-board and slide it in front of Pelosi. Have all the painted Reps have cheerful smiles in the panorama. Should take care of her vain glory until she croaks.

I don’t see Nancy filibustering but for so long - a couple of hours & she’s going to forget (again) who is President, what subject she’s supposed to be talking on and her own name. I’m not sure what the payload limit is on Depends, either.

Wonder how many times she’ll call President Trump, Bush.

US citizens need to elect some people to represent them.
Most of Congress cares more about fraudulently documented foreigners.

She’s incoherent in 30 second bits. A marathon like this should offer a wealth of hilarity.

This should be good. I doubt she could go ten minutes without doubling-over from exhaustion.

There’s nothing to vote on, Nancy.

Is there a bill? Can you hold up a piece of proposed legislation that is ready to be voted on?

I didn’t think so.

If they refuse to fund the wall, Trump should withdraw his offer of citizenship and go back to the original number.

Two can play this game, Nancy.

Yea. CSPAN please film the whole thing and put it on youtube. And try not to miss the part at the end where she starts babbling like Andy Kaufman on LSD and falls out and has a grand mal seizure and her plastic face catches on the podium and rips off revealing her lizard man features.

I wanna DVD it.

Good grief, man. What's worse than looking at Pelosi's face for 30 second bits? Having to listen to her muttering speaking for over three hours! How many suicides will happen in the chamber?

She can babble until she loses bladder control. And that will be her only accomplishment.
