This according to a nationwide observational study, published in The Lancet Public Health journal, of over one million adults diagnosed with dementia in France.

Too many details to confuse the issue. There is a type of dementia that is caused by alcohol addiction, and directly due to nutritional deficits from rising in all the calories from alcohol instead of nourishing food. Were those cases taken out?
All, absolutely ALL, the cases of dementia I am familiar with were people who drank from 5-10x a year to never. That is only anecdotal, but obviously not drinking or drinking seldom does not help keep you from dementia.
Drams or grams, 60 of anything will hurt you.
No arthritis but always had balance problems, nervous ticks, slight memory issues, and now chronic COPD. Never smoked. He had some sort of brain surgery to remove some kind of “growth” when he was 3. Seizures when he was young then outgrew. I get dizzy spells, have for years. Never could find the cause, got tested for seizures, only half hour spent with the probes on though. Neuro doc told me MRI showed small white migraine spots. Mom had severe migraines off and on for decades. I don’t get headaches.
I know you didn’t ask for my family health history. Guess I just like talking medical stuff lol.
I agree it about abuse; however i Can’t help but think that Auntie moonbeam cutting them off cold turkey contributed. As you get older it takes a while to balance out systems, Every minute change of dad’s medications brought new surprises(94 Advanced Parkinson). But not bringing a customary beer to watch the Superbowl really sent him loopy.
