TCMS tradition was broken last year for two very good reasons. That, by default, started a new tradition ~ holding the shoot in the same location! I only fought a little bit to go back to original idea of not going to the same range in consecutive years. The wise ole planning committee feels that the TCMS has found its home.
The TXMS VIII shoot will be held at Hicksville Gun Range, in Gatesville, TX on October 6th, starting at 10:00 a.m. Where once again we can enjoy the range dogs, the owners and lunch provided by our own cook, cpdiii.
I have reserved all of Cherokee Village Resort for October 4 ~ 7, 2018. When calling to make a reservation, mention that you are with the TexasCowboy group. You will have to make a deposit equal to a one night stay.
Let the planning begin . . .

How many people do we expect for the shoot? I need a rough idea on how much brisket to bring. I am bunking with My Life, he snores. Separate bunks, we both have standards. LOL.
Per usual I will have utensils and plates and chicken on the side for those that do not want brisket. I shall also have condiments, pickles, onions, water etc as normal.
I will show up the day before the shoot at Cherokee Village and leave the day after the shoot.
Looking much forward to this.

Any whoo this is an odd outing, Last week some buds made shrimp creole and only sold half.

Reading between the lines, I would contact gunner to herd cats. you can’t count on me, but you have a bunk. I am going regardless aint my first solo flight.
We will miss you! The only reason I get sequential shoots is the obvious. Location, location, location. But it’s a blessing for me.

Maybe if we can get a count started it will help? We probably need to ping the list to get the count going for cpdiii’s brisket. Know you’re not coming Mom but pretty sure you’ll have the ping list.

So far it looks like there are only 11 people confirmed going. I’m sure that amount will grow by a few between now and October 6th.

I think we’ll be doing breakfast tacos on the propane rig again.
Sausage instead of Chorizo this year, I overdid the Chorizo
last year and it gave me the squirts so I’m removing the temptation.
