Country Music? In a pig’s eye.
Things country music songs aren’t about:
1) My same-sex partner just left me
2) My Prius won’t start
3) My cat ran away
4) There’s no more Zima left in my fridge
Country music died years ago. I wouldn’t walk across the street to see the current “country” acts today. Murder on Music Row said it all. Just put Nashville on the list of cowardly ninnies that have been taken over by “progressives”.
Country music died years ago. I have not listened to new music in thirty years. I walk into my hardware-feed store and it is playing. I said, What in the world is that noise!
Give me some BOB WILLS and SPADE COOLEY! Country music began a slow death beginning in the 1960s.
I got some great old 1950s music from the British archive of country music. Why is the best country music archived in Britain?
That’s ok as far as we are concerned. We watch his TBN show and so far Huck has done an exceptional job with it. It is funny, informative and above all, clean.
Country music is not made by city bred boys and girls who would not know a cotton field from a snowstorm and who post on Facebook. Real country music came out of a lifestyle that has been dead and gone for many decades. If you can’t tell a mule from a horse at a hundred yards you know nothing about that lifestyle. If you don’t know what it means to have your crops “laid by” you know nothing about that lifestyle. If you have no memories of splitting wood with an axe to provide your only source of winter heat you know nothing about that lifestyle.
