Maybe they should accept Assad as Syria’s leader, Russia as a permanent tenant at Tartus, and work out ways to accommodate Syria’s national security interests that supplant Assad’s need to rely on Iran instead of constantly justifying his need for more weapons and more Russians and Iranians
Maybe Syria and Israel should both wise up and stop being patsies for the Saudis who control US foreign policy and proxies for the neocons like McCain and Graham who can’t let the Russian-Cold War end
Not going to happen.
There’s too many players in that small area now for a fire not to break out.
Israeli leadership will never allow their people to be victimized again and Assad will die a million deaths before “wising up” to make a concession to Israel.
Russia will be destroyed in the next war too. Laugh at that all you want.
