“McCabe continues his lying by saying he is innocent!”

While the press has focused the anti-Trump angle in McCabe’s answer, McCabe (weakly) addressed the cause of his firing - “lack of candor” i.e. lying. He said that at worst he was “distracted” in the midst of chaotic events...that he answered as truthfully as he could amidst the chaos. (How does one answer “as truthfully as he could”? Does this mean one might not be able to be truthful if there is chaos around and therefore this is excusable?)

He also said when he thought “his answers” were “misunderstood” he then contacted investigators to “correct them”. I wonder what Flynn thinks about that? Or better, Martha Stewart who “corrected her records” too after speaking to investigators. And McCabe wants some slack cut for him for his “misunderstood” statements? If he is lucky, he will only suffer being fired. He claims he is innocent yes, but even his written response he could not declare that he was always truthful.

The bottom line is there is now a strong public record that McCabe lies; despite the MSM’s hack partisanship, McCabe’s credibility, his ability to be truthful despite chaos and under pressure is impeachable should he try to corroborate Comey’s version of discussions with Trump. Comey is going to need help from someone else. McCabe is an attorney and he was taught about impeaching witnesses.
