Omnibus Bill Includes Specific Clause Barring Funding for Donald Trump ‘Wall’
Breitbart ^ | 22 Mar 2018 | Charlie Spiering

The 2,232 page Omnibus bill includes a specific clause barring funding for a wall on the southern border that mirrors the new prototypes already there. The bill reads:

The amounts designated in subsection (a)(2) through (a)(4) shall only be available for operationally effective designs deployed as of the date of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, (Public Law 115–31), such as currently deployed steel bollard designs, that prioritize agent safety.

It’s easy to give up but remember Trump is but the first. He’s not the first populist but he is the first that got elected with no past connection to government. He has shown that people can get elected who come from beyond the structure when they connect with hearts and minds of real people. He has opened the door and I think others will walk through. In the future there may be someone even smarter and better than Donald Trump to come along and exceed everything seen so far.

Even if our civilization totally collapses, something will take it’s place. We could play a huge part in that.

This is so disappointing. I don't pretend to even understand why all I know is I was a very early adopter of the the MAGA there were lots of empty seats on the Trump Train then I was hoping to be the last to get off not one of the first. I can't support him if he turns his back on signature issues that made me have hope for this nation. Look I'm glad he beat Hillary, in someways that should make ever grateful to him, but he made us believe, many of us extremely cynical.

We placed it aside and decided to believe again. I just don't understand why - This is a terrible deal - like in the Iran category of bad (okay not quite that bad but its close).

I hope I'm over reacting as president Trump is hyper cool and what he has done has been amazing but we need that wall, we need to get the illegals out, we need to put the swampees in jail.

Come on Donald stick with the program

What pisses me off the most is the simple fact that half the commenters here have just given up.

Assuming they actually ARE conservatives and not just trolls trying to discourage us.

You can’t win every battle of a war, and trust me, we’re in a war.

Half the people here on FR seem to think that Donald Trump is some kind of dictator who can just do whatever the hell he wants to do.

It’ll be a civil war first. Then probably a world war.

Assuming, of course, that the naysayers on these threads don’t win out and just get everyone to just GIVE UP and kneel before the Clintons.

Good grief. Look at their posting history. Look how long they’ve been in the fight. Look at mine. If you think people like us are trolls then it’s the longest con in history. Some people just hit reality a little sooner.

You know, I’ve been here since 1998, and one of the oldest FR tricks in the book when people try to inject a little realism is to do what you are doing and call them trolls or Clinton supporters. People used to do that to me back in 2004 and 2005 when I first started calling Bush a RINO and questioning the Bush doctrine. It gets a little old. People are frustrated and calling it the way they see it. The time for blind cheerleading is over. “Hope” is a town in Arkansas. And being a little realistic about the situation we face won’t hurt. And hey, if he vetoes thisnpile of garbage and the GOP suddenly gets on a MAGA train...I’ll mea culpa all day Long with bells on.

No, but I’m also not going to accuse others of being trolls when I haven’t don’t the homework to prove it because I’m frustrated too. Look, I tried to primary my congressman this election and he even voted no today. But I’ll be calling Cornyns office tomorrow and raising holy hell because that RINO voted yes tonight. He will never get another vote from me. It may be that we need to lose these RINO seats so we can replace them with real conservatives. I don’t have the answers. I just know what it is right now: the swamp is winning. The GOP wants to lose the 2018 midterms. They want the Trump agenda dead. He’s going to sign this bill, demoralize the base and give them what they want and he doesn’t even know it.

The (R)'s in congress who support this $1,300,000,000,000.00+ did this intentionally.

The don't support Trump, they don't support the MAGA message.

For his part, Trump should veto this monstrosity...but he won't. So he will then become part of the problem.

The (R)'s will loose bigly in the fall because far too many republicans and conservatives will sit this one out (not me) because they are pissed off (& rightfully so).

The (D)'s take the house, and possibly the senate. San Francisco values are back as the insane San Fran Nan will, within weeks, will hold a vote to impeach Trump. It will narrowly pass. The Senate will not convict, as there will be nothing legitimate to convict on.

Trump, the impeached POTUS, will then limp through the rest of his once promising presidency as nothing even close to MAGA will get done (think it's bad now???).

Even if he isn't impeached, his MAGA message will be all but be destroyed save for some E.O.'s he might attempt.

It really comes down to the never trumpers out there on the republican side. They will have stabbed our country in the back in the worst possible way.

About the only way ^^ this ^^ doesn't happen...is if a miracle occurs and one or more several "high ranking" DOJ / FBI / Barry White House / SoS officials are convicted...actually convicted of any of the numerous crimes they have committed.

That's the only way the congress doesn't flip, and then flip out even more.

No, we’re not. We’ll simply slouch toward Gomorrah to the approval of most of our fellow countrymen. There are not enough patriots and men to take back what we’ve lost or keep what little we’ve still got.

I wish you were wrong, but honestly, I have to agree. The America we grew up in is lost and not recoverable. When judgment finally hits and the USA is (probably) almost completely wiped out, no one but ourselves will be to blamed for its destruction.

I wish I had but one chance to stand in front of a joint session of Congress, and like Charlton Heston in "The Ten Commandments" be able to point my finger at the likes of Pelosi, Schumer, Ryan, McConnell, and others like them and say "Woe unto thee."

The way I look at it is the nation is going down. The last chance was to give DC President Trump, who would work with them to develop policies that would turn the nation around.

What have we learned? The nation is beyond hope. It's DC legislators and their enablers, across the political spectrum, against all of us. I cannot believe President Trump would've given up his very excellent life if he knew how resilient to decency DC is.
