Interesting. Smithfield, one of the largest pork producers in the US was recently bought by a Chinese firm. So will the Chinese be imposing tariffs on on a Chinese owned company?
The pork tariff might make some squeal. The rest seem just silly.
China will also pursue legal action against the U.S. at the World Trade Organization, the statement said, and called for dialogue to resolve the dispute.

This is not a retaliation by the ChiComs. The American tariffs are the retaliation. We have to fight back against their product dumping, currency manipulation, and commercial theft.
The chicoms plan to ship pig carcass to China. Process and package and ship back to the US. That will eliminate thousands of jobs and move taxable profit and controlled out of the US. Smithfield is just about the only pork you can get in our markets.

the U.S. news media . They left rates at near zero for all of Obama’s term . and now the economy is only “growing” at 2.5% which is no growth if you factor in population growth and other factors. inflation is 2.1% . no need to raise rates unless if you want socialism

Walmart, Piggly Wiggly all Smithfield. Smithfield also bought out Farmland, which I thought had good pork. Is it a matter of time before they buy out Oscar Meyer? Don’t really like Smithfield. It’s stringy. Luckily, we have a shop that sells locally raised pork and beef. I buy from them.
