Defense Secretary Jim Mattis on Thursday said the US is still looking for “actual evidence” of a chemical weapons attack in Syria, but United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said the United States has “enough” proof.
“I believe there was a chemical attack and we are looking for the actual evidence,” Mattis told a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee, adding that he wants inspectors in Syria “probably within the week.”
But Haley said she’s satisfied and urged caution in the US’ response to the chemical weapons attack Saturday in Douma that killed at least 60 people.
“We definitely have enough proof, but now we just have to be thoughtful in our action,” she told MSNBC. “The national security team is trying to give him [President Trump] as many options as we can, and we’ll be thoughtful about it and see what happens.”

Haley should know that the muslim rats are experts at staging lies.
Both consistent answers from two perspectives that give President Trump good counsel in making his decision.
Haley vs. Mattis...that’s a tough one.
And if the Nazis told you that it was the Jews gassing people in concentration camps, that’d satisfy you as well?
The story seems to slice and dice their comments. Hard to interpret.
I think Mattis is saying, There was an attack but we’re not 100% sure who did it.
I think Haley is saying, There was an attack and she think the evidence points to Assad.
I wouldn’t call this much of a disagreement on the facts. One is just less cautious than the other. Good cop, Bad cop, I think.
I support Assad/Syria over the Islamic Terrorists trying to overthrow Assad.

Trump’s best appointment was Matthis as SECDEF. Matthis won’t recommend a strike without having good evidence and knowing that we won’t risk a wider conflict with Russia.
Haley is another McCain and Graham-loves a good war,as long as her kids or family isn’t involved in it.

What i am wonder is, is the CIA still operating in Syria in an off books rogue operation? When Syria captured CIA operatives in Homs and in Aleppo, some working with ISIS, there was no longer any doubt the Obama administration allowed the worst to happen letting the CIA do anything they wanted. The CIA is a danger to the world’s security and should be reigned in.
