President Trump announced a new bombing campaign in Syria on Friday to target chemical weapons.
In the past, President Trump has warned many times against getting further involved in the Syrian civil war.

Meaningless drivel.
I don’t WANT a President who’s not willing to re-evaluate his options based on new information ... do you?
Did you listen to President Trump’s speech tonight. By the way we have troops and assets in the area trying to finish off ISIS.
Well said. Trump is President now. Our beloved President.
When he was a private citizen and not privy to inside
Information!? I voted for Trump because I trust his instincts and his commitment to making America great again!
Here is the problem I have with all the “wars” we have fought since Korea.
We do NOT win.
Get in there, win it and get to hell out. Bought enough of this touchy feel crap.
What New Information?
Pentagon admits NO evidence of chemical attack in Syria, relying on social media
Trump went back on his word to voters. I feel like one of the wives he cheated on. As Harry Truman said of adulterers in politics, if his wife can’t trust him, how can I?
This action was wrong period.
Did you watch the Pentagon’s briefing? He said to get ready for the misinformation campaign. I guess you didn’t listen. This article is not what I heard. He had definite evidence last night.
The fact that other countries are involved, tells me that they saw the same thing and made the decision that doing nothing was more of a danger to our countries.
Thanks for posting this. True, Trump might have new inside information. Or he might be playing four-dimensional chess, an advanced game that’s not understandable to ordinary citizens.
But I took a quick look at my copy of the Constitution. I can find no place where it says that the President can unilaterally call a military strike on a foreign nation.
But I guess there’s an old congressional authorization somewhere that makes it all right.
Oh, and one more thing. I was going to say “same as it ever was”. But this is not same as it ever was. And that’s because Russia is involved here.
Care to make a comment?
I have to think that part of this is leverage ahead of his meeting with little rocket man. Makes the sales pitch for denuclearization a little easier if you’re currently bombing another country for WMD non-compliance.
War Powers Act. Congress bitches about it but they refuse to repeal it, so the president can pretty much strike any county as long as he’s done within 60 days.

Cuz you just know ol’ Vladimir at Sputnik wouldn’t lie to you.
We have no business in Syria.
We had no business arming jihadis when Obama, McCain, Clinton, Graham, Kerry and Rubio all said it was a good idea.
He had no business lobbing missiles.
It’s not our civil war.
He’s trying to get us UN-involved. Out.
Why he’s blamed for Obama’s treasonous foolishness in getting us into this situation is... well, obvious.
We have no good reason to get involved in Syria. Didn't we learn anything from all the previous fiascoes? Clinton killed large number of Serb women and children even though none of them posed a threat to us. G.W. Bush lied about WMD and killed huge numbers in Iraq.
Then why did you?
