Today, Sharon McGowan, Director of Strategy at Lambda Legal, issued the following statement on Leader McConnells legacy of judicial nominations after the Senate voted to invoke cloture on the nomination of Michael Brennan, Donald Trumps nominee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit:
Judges protect what we value most in society. No matter who you are or where you come from, judges hold immense power to affect the rights and freedoms of all Americans. But over the years, we have watched Leader McConnell ignore the will of the people and tamper with the Senates constitutional authority to oversee the judicial nomination process.
"In moving ahead with the confirmation of Michael Brennan over the objection of Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin, the Senate Majority Leader has crossed the Rubicon and allowed Trump to effectively purchase 10 percent of the real estate in our federal appellate court system.

Ten percent! Next goal: twenty percent! And so on!
Works for me! :)
“Ten percent! Next goal: twenty percent! And so on! “
It would be 20% already if Mc Connell weren’t a DeepState criminal. Still, Trump, bit by bit, is winning and along with him we are winning too. November needs to be a RED WAVE Election!
Not bad for one third of his first term. President Trump is keeping his word: making America great again.
And I am glad. But I still dislike the fact that any Administration can appoint judges and these judges have such an immense power. Have some of these Powers been added or were all of these Powers originally granted in the Constitution?
We have to remember that it won’t always be one of our guys in power. Were judges supposed to be this powerful?
Are all of these trucks ships for life? Obviously I don’t know much about the judicial system in the United States LOL
“Elections have consequences. We won.”
They only have such great power because leftists usurped it. Whatever political last line of defense against encroachments upon our liberty we institute, they will concentrate their fire upon. It’s not a problem with the system. It’s a problem with them.
Not nearly enough!
“tamper with the Senates constitutional authority to oversee the judicial nomination process.” No the blue slip was not constitutional authority. It was just a senate rule (a bad one) much like the 60 votes to do almost anything (another bad one).
If/When Chuck Schumer takes control of the Senate a simple Majority will become the RULE for everything. That is a fact. He will be unapologetic. He is ruthless and spiteful. He likes the way the House runs where the minority party is powerless.

Tammy Baldwin is a lesbian tool and back bench, second string Senator. It’s an election year. Tammy is shoring up her base in Madistan, Wisconsin.
Resistance is also known as “obstruction”.
Judges are not supposed to have that much power. Real judges follow the law instead of expanding their powers. Leftist judges pretend they have much broader authority than they do, and so far normal people have been reluctant to simply ignore their unlawful decrees.
Can they keep near the pace and have 40% Trump nominees by the end of his second term?
A senior judge is going to be in their mid-50’s or older, and serve usually 10-15 years, correct? So a president should normally be appointing roughly half of the federal judiciary by the end of his second term. This without mentioning the huge backlog in appointments, since many of the judges currently serving in federal courts are “emeritus.” LGBT can worry all they want, but it looks like good news to me.
10% down, 90% to go.
