Just as it is in any dictatorship in the world. This is the left's ultimate goal: their ultimate takeover of a politicized criminal justice system. They have been succeeding for decades now, especially in "blue" states and cities like New York, where the D'Souza case unfolded. And that includes federal courts in these states, whose judges are usually appointed by Presidents at the recommendation of the U. S. Senator(s) of the particular state or states. In New York, it would be Charlie Schumer calling the shots as to which judges are appointed, even when the appointing president is a Republican.
