Yes, that’s all he has EVER been.
He stomped his foot vigorously.
Keeping his reputation neutral in the event he runs for Gov of South Carolina.
We loved ya Trey but you betrayed us, the patriots. Show us something real with action not words or forget about it!
HAIRSTYLIST....
I wonder if Trey can carry that Tune.
“... deeply disappointed...”
How original.
Last time I checked, the office of House Representative does not include the prerogative of prosecuting crimes. All you people who rail on Gowdy for his “lack of action” ought to think twice. The nature and extent of corruption covers decades. Only a fool would expect a sharp turn around in less than two years. Do you want to do it right, or do you want to do it like the French?
Seriously, I think you missed my whole point. The just talk contributed (thank God) to that evil criminal Hillary GD Clinton being deprived of her lifes only dream, and I give Trey Gowdys talks some of the credit for that occurrence. I believe he helped our country dodge that bullet.
Treys ok in my book.
I was upset with what he did not say when he seemingly exonerated the FBI after the meeting with Wray and Rosenstein.
In his defense - I strongly suspect that he could not elaborate on what he meant because information provided by CIA, State, and other allied intelligence would be classified. What he said was “you would want the FBI to act on what they heard.”
This corroborates what more of us are beginning to think... the roots of the FBI investigation began with a push - pull of planted intel routed through intel services and the state department. The FBI does not collect foreign intelligence using human sources - that is the purview of the CIA and others. What happened is inexcusable with the FISA investigation, but regarding the start of the investigation we have no clue what they were told beyond the FISA warrant. What if Brennan and Clapper decided to feed the FBI salacious information from a variety of sources making it appear as if Trump and his campaign were colluding with Russia (as well as Russia having dirt on Trump - finances, prostitutes, etc)?
Again, Gowdy said - “what they heard” or in other words “what they (FBI) were told” because they don’t routinely collect human intelligence. Again, not excusing what happened afterwards, but what if they were played by Brennan/Clapper? What if the select group of manager wunderkinds on the 7th floor were fed a bunch of BS making it look like there was a major fire with Trump and his campaign? Would we not want that looked into to use the reasoning of Gowdy?
At some point, through animus, bias, and confidence that she would win, they were committed to continuing what they likely realized was a lie (i.e. Steele dossier), but Gowdy was specific about the origins of the investigation if you listen to what he said again. Because of classification for anything to do with CIA and allied intelligence he could not say this on television.
The “special matters group” was not only firmly against Trump, they likely got played hard at the outset of the investigation and once they went down that path they were stuck. Still inexcusable in my mind given that they renewed the FISA warrant 4 times, but they were also duped. This thing goes far beyond the FBI 7th floor - way beyond in my humble opinion and we only know a portion of it.
Your lung’s bleed “we are a nation of laws” yet you enlist a simple representative to engage in prosecutions?
Too little, too late.
lol
Gowdy’s “honest country lawyer” shtick is beyond stale.
He’s long been exposed as an amnesty-supporting RINO whore. Won’t be missed.
