Tariffs are the beginning and not the end of the story . The situation is DYNAMIC and not STATIC. Prices will be higher, post tariff WHICH IS THE POINT. They will be much higher at first then lower later on as new domestic supplies kick in. The higher cost will be the difference in US labor/regs minus cheaper shipping costs. I'd estimate 5-7% higher. But quality will go up too for most items. Yes, this one time inflation is worth it to me and a lot of other patriots.

Politics and economics mesh, they are really the same thing. Whether pointy headed green eye shade arm banded ledger types like it or not, that is reality.

The 30 year globalist experiment in "Free Trade" is an abject failure. Why? because the rest of the of world did't play along and used us like cheap whores.

with tariffs you get manufacturing jobs and all of the services and design work that goes with manufacturing, plus agricultural jobs with all the services which support agriculture.

We did the same a few years back. I THINK that Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchenaid, Amana(all the same company) are still made in Iowa. GE were all made in Mexico. Bosch made in Germany. Samsung & LG were made in South Korea. Fisher/Paykel(sp?) were made in New Zeeland.

We ended up buying a KitchenAid dishwasher and a Kenmore(Whirlpool) French door fridge.

Appliances have to be tracked by individual models. Few brands are made exclusively in the USA, no matter how much PR says otherwise.

The difference in the per unit labor cost between the the third world and the USA is insignificant and affects the end consumer price very little.

It is my opinion having recently replaced several appliances that Whirlpool appliances are American made.

When searching for a refrigerator, We went to Home Depot for the Veterans Day sale. They had moved 5 of the side by side refrigerator /freezers into a row for easy comparison. It turns out though having different brand names, all were made by whirlpoo companies. The warranty registration was made via the Whirlpool on line customer service site.

The unit we bought was cosmetically nearly to the 26 year old same brand replacement.

What Free Traitors want you to believe is that the supply function is static and no new domestic suppliers will EVER come on line. Despite their best efforts brand new factories are still being built in the USA all the time. Not as many as are closed mind you but the situation is dynamic and not static. With more domestic supply will mean pressure to reduce prices.
