There’s a ‘type’ when it comes to climate change denial it turns out – and it’s a pretty simple one: old, white and racist.
Researchers found that American voters with the highest levels of racial resentment were far more likely to dispute the idea of man-made climate change.
Researcher Salil Benegal at DePauw University analysed data from American National Election Studies – and found that Republicans with high racial resentment scores were 84% likely to disagree with man-made climate change.
Previous Pew research has shown that climate change deniers tend to be old and white.
The scores were measured on likelihood of agreeing with sentiments such as, ‘If Blacks would only try harder, they could be just as well off as whites.’
White Republicans with high scores for racial resentment were three times as likely to disagree with a statement that climate change was real than White Republicans with lower racism scores.
Benegal told Sierra Club the phenomenon may be linked to Barack Obama’s policies on the environment.

This passes for a racism screening?
How about the observable fact that people of many different ethnicities thrive in this country even when they are totally disadvantaged by their race, nationality, and linguistic abilities.
However, I would change the word from “try” to “work” as trying implies failing.
I guess they are at least consistent in a way. The ability to observe factual information and draw rational conclusions are characteristics of what they define as racist.

And Asians enthusiastically support academics among their peers, and families are intact and involved in education. Try raising that point with liberals and they just call you call kinds of names instead of trying to wrap their heads around what should be obvious.

I may be old and white but smart enough not to have purchased any carbon credits. Never ever considered buying a Prius or battery run car. I saw a map 20 years ago that shows my Florida home under water so yes I am a denier. BTW my home same distance from the Gulf as always. Where are the coastal calamities predictions?

I’m wondering which answer makes you a racist.
If you agree, are you a racist for thinking that blacks are not trying hard enough?
If you disagree, are you a racist for thinking that trying harder wouldn’t help because blacks are not smart enough?
The left can turn you into a racist no matter what you do or say.
The only “correct” answer for a liberal is that all differences are due to racism. There can be absolutely no other factors in the equation.
