Does the “rock star” have to face a Republican in November?
They know the Blue Wave has already crested and is receding, but they don’t know what to do about it. So they’re ignoring it.
As I understand it, the “rock star” is running in the sort of district that would elect a Maxine Waters - repeatedly.
One could argue it is the other way around. That the Democrat party is an arm of the media. It seems to me it is the media that drives them.
Kind of. She’s in a district full of Section 8, welfare recipients and illegals. Jesus Christ could run against her and still get wiped off the map, in all honesty.
She may be a rockstar, now, but her flame will quickly burn out. Heck, it already is. Problem these folks have is, you run your mouth about how you grew up on the street, trying to earn a buck. Then folks find out that she grew up in one of the most affluent towns, in one of the most affluent counties in the country, with her dad the architect. Who then went on to Boston University and worked for Kennedy, before returning to NY. So, it’s not really like she came up from the streets and walked the walk.
Before, she was just a really good looking staffer for Kennedy. Now, she’s going to be in there with the wolves.
I came to the same conclusion.
I came up with the term Mediacracy, but then I learned someone else had the same idea a few years earlier.
Let the Dems bleed themselves into obscurity.
The “Rock Star” is in a district where the republican cannot win 20% of the vote, no matter what.
Look at the types of people who are Democratic Party activists:

As a young boy I learned that back in the 50's and certainly in November of 1963.
I think it is deeper than that. The socialists, in and out of the media, know they are in deep trouble and are casting out ‘bread and circuses’ to keep people from paying attention to the economy and the general uptick in the world’s state of being under Trump. They will be offering fantastical things to the various classes building up to the next election. Flying carpets for everyone!
The media will be invaluable to them. Promoting all that is ugly in the country and the world while stifling any good news about anything.
Barely noted is the fact that she won because there were very few voters. Her expression at the moment she realized she won is disbelief.
She only received 17,000 votes in a major congressional district.
That is indicative of big time “I don’t give a damn” voter attitude
You folks are under-estimating Ocasio-Cortez.
If you have a chance to talk to poor people in cities you will get an earful about how corrupt and useless all politicians are. The general attitude is something along the lines of “Don’t vote, it just encourages ‘em.”....
You have an interesting point. I often wonder what drives them.
Since I’ve paid attention to them, they were all for the blue collar/farmer folks, then made a hard left turn but still carried the working stiffs, now they said to hell with working America and are into full fledged commie identity politics.
To help make your point, the media was always way ahead of them, seemingly setting their agenda.
Democrats have unlimited money and adveetising. Wonder what their “crisis” is?
The propaganda wing of the DNC is composed of mostly idiots who actually believe the REPUBS are the bad guys and the RATS are the Robin Hoods, taking from the wealthy and giving to the poor.
Imagine when the arrests start and the RATS have to address the documentation that will show the Hussein Obama RATS were working on turning the US into a police state.
The MSM will need coloring books and quiet rooms so they can write their stories.
