I was in the hospital in Geneva, Alabama having a skin cancer removed from the back of my neck. This was as an outpatient.

They ordered me a breakfast but I was released before I had time to eat it. I asked if I could take it home as it was in a container. They said yes so I did.

I think it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. This from a hospital

The food at our hospital is outstanding. They even let me order an extra cobbler to take home. lol It was that good. And, no, I looked on my EOB, and it was not charged. :)

At the local hospital where I work Saturday is Goulash day for patient meals. Nothing fancy, egg noodles , beef cubed and gravy. Believe me when I tell you it’s very good.

Members of my family have been in several hospitals over the years. The ones with the best food are the ones where the doctors have to eat in the cafeteria, because there are no good eateries nearby.
